Requirements to Operate

  • Please arrive 30 minutes before your start time. If you don’t arrive, arrive late or don’t qualify to operate before your start time, there are NO REFUNDS.
  • All drivers of Jet Skis (PWCs) must be 21 years old. 
  • Reservation Required
  • Any person born after 1981 must have a boaters license or pass a test to obtain a 24 hour temporary boaters license. We offer a temporary license and testing at no charge. You can also use the link below to take an ODNR approved Ohio boating license course to get a permanent boating license. 
  • All Waivers must be completed. Waivers can be completed online or onsite.

  • Cancel anytime up to 48 hours prior to your rental by emailing us at info@glwatersports.com
  • If we have to cancel your reservation due to weather or unforeseen circumstances, we will work with you to rebook your reservation or issue a full refund.
  • If weather or unforeseen circumstances interrupts your rental, we will prorate your rental, refunding you for the time the weather interrupted your rental. 
  • No-shows will be charged the full price.

Security Deposit

a $500 security deposit will be collected prior to departure. It will be refunded in 24 hours providing the boat is returned in the same condition it was sent out.


PLEASE NOTE: ONLY MAJOR CREDIT CARDS ACCEPTED. It may take your bank 2-3 days to resolve the funds after the refund. You can pay the $500 security deposit in cash as well, but we still need major credit card on file.

Security Deposit

  • Guide instructions must be followed at all times. Your guide will take you to the designated riding area. Your guide will be present at all times during your ride. Stay within the eyesight of your guide at all times.  If an emergency occurs and your guide needs to leave, you are still required to stay in the designated riding area and return to our dock on time. 
  • Edgewater Beach is the designated riding area. When conditions are too rough on the lake, Wendy Park will be the alternate designated riding area.

  •  100’ Rule - The minimum distance from anything else while on the water (other watercraft, your friends, or the break-wall). 
  • Failure to follow the rules will result in the immediate end of your ride without a refund.
  • Failure to end your ride when instructed or scheduled will result in overtime charges (Overtime chargers are twice your rental rate prorated in 30 min increments).

Boating Safety

  1. Maintaining safe speed/monitor surroundings/drive defensively/no aggressive maneuvers 
  2. Maintaining a safe distance from other boats, objects and people 
  3. Do not enter the water without a lifejacket on, engine turned off and key removed 
  4. Conduct a head count before starting the engine 
  5. Always remain seated while the boat is in motion 
  6. Absolutely no sitting on the bow, sides or stern 
  7. Importance of attaching the engine shut-off cord/lanyard 
  8. Engine start and shut-off procedures 
  9. Dangers of CO2 
  10. Refueling procedures and engine blower use (if applicable) 
  11. Sound five blasts of the horn or whistle to signal danger or need for assistance 
  12. Boats do not have brakes – stopping the engine will not stop the boat 
  13. Proper boat anchoring procedures (if applicable) 
  14. Navigation rules – local laws, regulations, hazards and navigational markers 
  15. Towing sports are not allowed
