Requirements to Operate

  • All drivers of Power boats must be 21 years old. 
  • Reservation Required
  • Alcohol allowed, except the driver
  • Dogs allowed, Our Barletta Cabrio Pontoon has a built in dog bowl.
  • Any person born after 1981 must have a boaters license or pass a test to obtain a 24 hour temporary boaters license. We offer a temporary license and testing at no charge. You can also use the link below to take an ODNR approved Ohio boating license course to get a permanent boating license. 
  • All Waivers must be completed. Waivers can be completed online or onsite.

  • Cancel anytime up to 48 hours prior to your rental by emailing us at info@glwatersports.com
  • Weather Policy - The weather forecast is impossible to predict and changes by the hour. We make weather determinations around the time of your rental. Light - Moderate rain is not a dangerous condition. Wind, waves, thunder, and lightning are dangerous conditions.
  • If we have to cancel your reservation due to weather or foreseen circumstances, we will work with you to rebook your reservation or issue a full refund.
  • If weather interrupts your rental, we will issue a gift card for the time the weather interrupted your rental. 
  • If it's raining and you do not want to go out, we can issue you a gift card.
  • Late-arrivals will be charged the full price. NO REFUNDS.
  • - No-shows will be charged the full price. NO REFUNDS.

Security Deposit

a $500 security deposit will be collected prior to departure. It will be refunded in 24 hours providing the boat is returned in the same condition it was sent out.


PLEASE NOTE: ONLY MAJOR CREDIT CARDS ACCEPTED. It may take your bank 2-3 days to resolve the funds after the refund. You can pay the $500 security deposit in cash as well, but we still need major credit card on file.

Your time starts when the boat is ready.


If you return late you will be charged overtime charges. Overtime charges are 2x your rental rate prorated in 30 minute increments. If the NS-1 bridge delays your return, give us a call and you will not be charged overtime charges.

Boating Safety

  1. Maintaining safe speed/monitor surroundings/drive defensively/no aggressive maneuvers 
  2. Maintaining a safe distance from other boats, objects and people 
  3. Do not enter the water without a lifejacket on, engine turned off and key removed 
  4. Conduct a head count before starting the engine 
  5. Always remain seated while the boat is in motion 
  6. Absolutely no sitting on the bow, sides or stern 
  7. Importance of attaching the engine shut-off cord/lanyard 
  8. Engine start and shut-off procedures 
  9. Dangers of CO2 
  10. Refueling procedures and engine blower use (if applicable) 
  11. Sound five blasts of the horn or whistle to signal danger or need for assistance 
  12. Boats do not have brakes – stopping the engine will not stop the boat 
  13. Proper boat anchoring procedures (if applicable) 
  14. Navigation rules – local laws, regulations, hazards and navigational markers 
  15. Towing sports are not allowed
